i felt useful today. Why? Because I did a STO - suture to open. And I was assess by a good kind Malay lecturer. She was very patient with me. I have to thank her that she gave me a lot of courage and support. Instead of scolding me for not doing well, she convinced me and gave me a lot of confident in doing the procedure. Thank you. And i was so lucky that I wasn't assess by Nancy. Or else, I think she will fail me again. I hate her when she always not give me a chance to think and keep on interrupt me.
Susan Leung also the same. And when I was doing my STO and dressing for my patient, luckily, i was almost done. all the 3 lecturers was in there to see how I progress. So scary la..
Before I start my STO, the kind lecturer ran through the procedure with me, and make sure I understand what I have to do on the patient's forehead. And the patient was so scared of me. He gave me that kind of expression : Hah? You're the one who is going to remove my stitches?
Hahah.. but lecturer convinced him that she will always here to help. When I first time use the foreceps to hold the suture, I was trambelling.. so scary.. and the stitch cutter is so sharp (or else how to cut the suture?) After open the 1st suture, she said: ok, very good girl! OMG.. she said so. I was shocked when i heard that. She said something that Nancy and Susan will not say. I like it. I feel i was a kid that received a compliment from a teacher. I'm so happy. After 3-4 sutures had been removed, the patient feel more confident with me.
Talk about the patient, he took all my 1st time. I mean: 1st time I off the urinary catheter, and STO. Wow... i'm so happy.
And I really want to thank the lecturer and the patient. Hahaha...
